Notification:

  • For the entrance examination for international students, there will be no online system, but only a face-to-face system (examination to be taken in person at the college).
  • Depending on the results of the examinations, some majors may conduct additional examinations. They are scheduled for February 2026 if conducted. Please check here for details.
  • From the Entrance Examination of 2020 Academic Year, either of the following tests is required to check your Japanese Language proficiency.

Necessary materials

  1. Application Form
    After paying the entrance examination fee, print it out from "My page". Be sure to print it out using a color printer.(Black and White printing is not allowed.)
  2. Official Transcript (entire period during the latest academic background)
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation
  3. Certificate of Graduation
    If submitting the certificate is not possible, a photocopy of the original will do.
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation
  4. Letter of Recommendation from the Principle or teacher of applicant’s school
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation(The alma mater must be equivalent to an undergraduate-level university.)
  5. Either of the following as Japanese Examination
    • Copy of the Examination Voucher of EJU (Japanese) taken after April, 2024
    • Original Score Report of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and Scores of JLPT
      *N2 or a higher level
      *regardless of the date the exam was taken and the original must be submitted
  6. List of songs the applicant will sing (prescribed form)
    * only for applicants for Vocal Studies Major
  7. List of songs the applicant will play (prescribed form)
    *only for applicants for Keyboard Instruments (Piano Course) and Accompaniment Course
  8. List of songs the applicant will play(prescribed form)
    *only for applicants for String Instruments, Wind Instruments and Percussion Instruments Course
  9. Personal Identification (prescribed form)
    Guarantor must be residing in Japan and could be responsible for the applicant’s identity and expenses liabilities.
    If the guarantor is a foreigner living in Japan, please attach the copy of both sides of the Residence Card.
  10. Copy of Residence Card (both sides)
  11. Copy of the Entry Visa if you have one at the time of application
  12. Passport Copy of the personal identificaiton page

*2 For the Music Therapy course, the oral exam includes a 3-minute singing and playing session (you can bring a memorized score or chord sheet music. Piano is available). You must choose one song to use in the music therapy session (pop songs, enka, J-pop, or any other song of your choice).
