Notification:

  • For the entrance examination for international students, there will be no online system, but only a face-to-face system (examination to be taken in person at the college).
  • Depending on the results of the examinations, some majors may conduct additional examinations. They are scheduled for February 2023 if conducted. Details will be announced on the college's website when available.
  • From the Entrance Examination of 2020 Academic Year, either of the following tests is required to check your Japanese Language proficiency.

Necessary materials

  1. Application Form (prescribed form)
    Attach your ID photo on the form
    Applicants for Instrumental Studies, Composition, Musicology and Music Education Studies, fill in the applicable space.
  2. Application Ticket (prescribed form / attach an ID photo)
  3. Official Transcript (entire period during the latest academic background)
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation
  4. Certificate of Graduation
    If submitting the certificate is not possible, a photocopy of the original will do.
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation
  5. Letter of Recommendation from the Principle or teacher of applicant’s school
    *accompanied by a Japanese translation
  6. Either of the following as Japanese Examination
    • Copy of the Examination Voucher of EJU (Japanese) taken after April, 2021
    • Original Score Report of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and Scores of JLPT
      *N2 or a higher level
      *regardless of the date the exam was taken and the original must be submitted
  7. ID Photo (4cm×3cm) taken within 3 months
    *front view-center full face in frame, no hat, neutral-colored background (no people or objects in photo)
    *attach one to the Application Form and one to the Admission Ticket
  8. Certificate of Health
    No prescribed format and no designated test item but the medical check-up should be taken within 3 months from submission and Chest X-ray must be taken.
    Certificate written in a foreign language shall be accompanied by a Japanese translation.
  9. Certificate of Remittance (Entrance Examination Fee)
    *please look at page 3 of the Application Requirements
    *attach the certificate and write down the applicant’s name
    *please ensure that the Certificate of Remittance has financial institution stamp
  10. Stamped Addressed Envelope to send the Admission Ticket and Examination Schedule (prescribed envelope)
    *the address the applicant is living in Japan from October, 2022 to November, 2022 or an address in Japan that the letters will be delivered.
    *attach a 344 yen stamp
  11. List of songs the applicant will sing (prescribed form)
    * only for applicants for Vocal Studies Major
  12. List of songs the applicant will play (prescribed form)
    *only for applicants for Keyboard Instruments (Piano Course) and Accompaniment Course
  13. Personal Identification (prescribed form)
    Guarantor must be residing in Japan and could be responsible for the applicant’s identity and expenses liabilities.
    If the guarantor is a foreigner living in Japan, please attach the copy of both sides of the Residence Card.
  14. Copy of Residence Card (both sides)
  15. Copy of the Entry Visa if you have one at the time of application
  16. Passport Copy of the personal identificaiton page
  17. International Students’ Personal Data Sheet (prescribed format)
  18. Addressed Envelope to send scores (only 120mm×235mm envelope)
