Kunitachi College of Music Research Institute

The institute is dedicated to research in specialized fields concerned with music.
Our new “Gershwin Project” has started from 2015 academic year. First year of the project, we researched focusing on recreating the first performance of "Rhapsody in Blue". In 2016 academic year, which was the second year of the project, we researched on the 20th Century American culture such as musical and movie music. In 2017 academic year, we held the frist performance of "Peter Pan" which is the early dramatic music. In 2018 academic year, the last year of the project, the theme is "American Music in History" and we will research on American music historically from various aspects.
