Doctoral Program (Notes for International Students)
Notification:
- For the entrance examination for international students, there will be no online system, but only a face-to-face system (examination to be taken in person at the college).
- The following test is required to certify your Japanese language proficiency.

Applicant Eligibility
- Have the status of residence to "Student" before the enrollment, except for those who are already "Permanent Resident".
- Corresponding to any item listed on page12 of the Application Requirements.
- A guarantor resides and supports oneself in Japan, and could be responsible for the applicant's identity and expenses liabilities.
- JLPT(Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) is taken. *as noted above
Necessary materials
The name (in the Latin alphabet) and date of birth on the application must be the same as that on the passport. If they are different, the application will not be accepted.
- Application Form (prescribed form)
Attach your ID photo on the form and submit both the paper documents and the Excel file. Submission format:CD,DVD,or USB drive(Submitted media will not be returned.)※For details, please refer to the application requirements. - Certificate of Graduation
If submitting the certificate is not possible, a photocopy of the original will be accepted.

Guarantor must be residing in Japan and could be responsible for the applicant’s identity and expenses liabilities.
If the guarantor is a foreigner living in Japan, please attach the copy of both sides of the Residence Card. - Copy of Residence Card (both sides)
- Copy of the Entry Visa
Submit if you have one at the time of application. - Passport Copy of the Personal Identification Page
- International Students’ Personal Data Sheet (prescribed format)
※In principle, applicants are required to have passed JLPT N1, by the first test which is held in 2026. If you are unable to submit the "Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and Scores" at the time of application due to reasons such as taking the 2nd test of the relevant year, please be sure to consult with the Admissions Office by e-mail in advance. "Prescribed form" will be available from December 2026.
Notes for Application and Examination
- Applicants who apply by mail from abroad must send their applications by registered mail within the period from Friday, January 15, 2027 to Wednesday, January 20, 2027 (postmarked date).Since it may take some time for the mail to arrive, please email the completed application form to the Admission Office by Wednesday, January 20, 2027. - Money transfer JPY 50,000 into the designated account and please burden the transfer fee at your expense in addition to this amount.
- Be sure to bring the Residence Card to the entrance examination.
- International Applicants are also required to take Foreign Language Examination in all majors. Please refer to the Application Requirements for details.
Notes for Enrollment
Enrollment will be canceled if unable to come to school within a week of the classes starting.
